Meet Ghislaine
A 79-year-young teacher, and a dream since 50.
My name is Ghislaine MacBride. Riding a Spyder has been a dream of mine since I was 50 years old. For nearly three decades, that dream stayed with me.
I promised myself I would make it happen before my 80th birthday on May 30, 2027. My brand-new 2026 Can-Am Spyder is that promise, kept — possibility, courage, and the decision to stop saying “someday.”

The Journey

Some journeys begin with a destination. Mine began with a dream — and a 2026 Can-Am Spyder that will carry it across British Columbia.

A Spyder of my own
For years I imagined sitting behind the handlebars, feeling the freedom of the road, and seeing British Columbia from an entirely new perspective. That picture stayed with me for nearly 30 years.

About Me
79 years young — and just getting started.
For much of my life I was Madame MacBride, a French Immersion teacher. Retirement opened a different chapter. And this chapter has three wheels.
I’m not doing this to prove that age doesn’t matter. I’m doing it because the dream still matters. At 4'11", a kit is on the way to raise the brake pedal two inches — a small change that lets the machine fit the rider.
If sharing this journey encourages even one person to revisit something they’ve always wanted to do, every kilometre will have been worthwhile.
